Assistant Scientist and Lab Manager at Orthogonal Research & Education Lab
Jesse Parent received his B.S. from the College of Engineering & Applied Sciences & CEHC at the University at Albany, SUNY. Jesse’s current research involves computational and developmental models of cognition. He is preparing for graduate study exploring natural and artificial intelligence; particularly cognition, learning, information processing, and the mechanisms which support decision making and comprehension. Occasionally, Jesse writes on the ethics surrounding technology and related impacts on society. He is involved in science communication, outreach and mentorship and manages the Cognition Study Journal Club. Jesse leads the newly-formed Cognition Futures team at Orthogonal Research & Education Lab (OREL), where he is also Lab Manager and an Assistant Scientist.
